Old Hotel Finds New Life as Cultural Center

1

The 14-story Cactus Hotel is the tallest structure in all of San Angelo.

The downtown landmark was the fourth hotel ever built by Conrad Hilton, but today no longer accepts overnight guests. Instead, the hotel rents its impressive rooms for weddings and banquets, and also rents individual apartments and offices for local residents and businesses.

The Cactus also serves as headquarters for the San Angelo Symphony and the San Angelo Cultural Affairs Council. The “Top of the Cactus” penthouse provides a vista to the beautiful West Texas sunsets. Go to www.cactushotel.net for more information.
